Welcome to ISA100: Introduction to Astrology: Zodiac, Planets & Aspect Glyphs. This free mini-course is designed to help you learn to identify astrology glyphs and grasp some fundamental concepts of astrology. Perfect for beginners, this mini-course focuses on memorizing astrology glyphs and understanding the basic terminology used in astrology, setting the stage for more advanced studies.

What You Will Learn

In this course, you’ll explore the basics of modern Western astrology. You’ll gain a foundational understanding of essential concepts like zodiac symbols, planetary and major aspect glyphs. By the end of the course, you’ll be able to recognize and identify these fundamental astrology glyphs within a natal chart, and know their basic purpose in the chart. 

This mini-course provides a stepping stone into the world of astrology, preparing you to delve deeper into specialized areas or simply enjoy a richer understanding of astrological readings.

Course Structure

This 4-week course combines live online sessions and self-paced recorded content. Each week, you’ll join a live class to engage directly with the instructor and fellow students and access exclusive materials via Google Classroom. This structure allows you to learn from home, and at a pace that is not overwhelming. You will benifit from real-time guidance and interaction with your instructor. Each lesson is about an hour long and includes a mini-assignment to reinforce your learning.

Course Goals

ISA100 aims to provide a solid foundation in astrology by teaching you how to identify and interpret zodiac signs, planetary glyphs, and aspects. This introductory knowledge will empower you to further learn to read natal charts and understanding the basics of astrology interpretation. The course prepares you for more advanced studies in astrology, you may choose to take the SA101 Course after this, that dives into interpretation and deeper concepts of astrology

ISA100 is crafted for beginners with little to no prior knowledge of astrology who want to start learning the basics. It’s also ideal for astrology enthusiasts who wish to solidify their understanding of foundational astrology concepts. This course introduces the basic elements of astrology, offering a clear and accessible entry point into the subject.

How To Enroll

Enrolling in ISA100 is easy and free, right now.
This is a special offer that we may not give away again.

1. Click the ‘Enroll’ button below to find the Enrollment Application. This application is a form where we ask you questions about your current knowledge in astrology. This helps us know you better and help you on your learning journey.
2. Once you have filled out the Enrollment form, complete the registration by clicking the “Registration” button also at the bottom of this page. This step is important so we know who to send the Google Classroom invite to.

After you have enrolled & checked out

You will receive two emails, please be sure to check your email spam folder if you do not see them.

• One email will be an invite to the Google Classroom. You must join that to get to the classroom and materials
• The other email will be invite to the Google Calander we made, please RSVP “Yes”

You must accept both of these things and you will be fully registered and receive email reminders about the classes. 

COURSE MATERIALS AND TECHNOLOGY

Required Materials

All course materials, including video lessons, PDFs, and assignments, will be accessible through Google Classroom. To participate in this course, you can use any free online program or app to create astrology charts, or download Cosmic Star, a free software for PC by Cosmic Patterns. Cosmic Star is fully sufficient for the introductory level covered in this course.

For those interested in more advanced astrology tools, we will provide additional recommendations. However, no advanced software is required to successfully complete this course; the free resources mentioned are more than adequate for all course activities.

Technology Suggestions

A computer with internet access is recommended for the best experience, but you can also participate using a mobile device. A webcam and microphone are useful for live class participation but are not required.

Starlene Breiter, a certified professional astrologer specializing in Vibrational Astrology, will guide you through this course. With extensive experience as an astrological consultant and researcher, Starlene brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for teaching astrology. She currently serves on the board of the Avalon School of Astrology and is dedicated to helping students discover the rich world of astrology.
